Book Release & Give Away – The Unoffical Hunger Games Wilderness Survival Guide

Creek Stewart, survival instructor, author and owner of Willow Haven Outdoor Training Facility has just released his new book, The Unofficial Hunger Games Wilderness Survival Guide.  For those of you who have not read The Hunger Games Trilogy, don’t let the title fool you.  This is an awesome wilderness survival guide and should be in every prepper’s library or bug-out bag.

With the release of his book, Creek has provided two copies and some goodies to Prepper Website readers!  To enter the contest, you need to read the review – click here.  Then come back and leave a comment on the book review or one of the links within the review.  The contest will end on the evening of May 29th.  I will then count up the number of comments and use to generate two random numbers as winners.

Each winner will receive:

  1. A signed copy of The Unofficial Hunger Games Wilderness Survival Guide book
  2. A Willow Haven Outdoor sling backpack
  3. A Willow Haven Outdoor bandana
  4. A 5 in 1 Survival Tool

I’ll close the comments to this post when the contest is over.

Good luck!

Excited about this book. I loved the movies and often wondered how Katniss ate, bathed etc to survive even in her own home area. They would mention her going hunting with the bow and arrow from her father, but not much else was mentioned. I did have to look up where Willow Haven Outdoor was located, I had not heard of it.

    Looks like a winner…
I bet my kids would get into it

Nice. I like the idea of this being a bridge book -The Hunger Games theme grabbing the attention of the readers. I think my kids would be willing to read this survival book because because of their favorite characters are in it.

This sounds amazing! I already have a number of survival guides, natch, but I can think several people off the top of my head who were fans of the series that wouldn’t ordinarily read this material. If I don’t win a copy I expect I’ll buy at least a few in any case.

I like it! There are a lot of survival books out there. This one has a great angle with The Hunger Games and seems to be clear and to the point. Look forward to reading the rest!

I’ve been reading survival books all my life, since my Boy Scout days, and to me it never gets old to read and practice the techniques covered. Look forward to this one as well!

I want to get this for my kids (I’ll read it first so I can talk “Hunger Games” w/them – then show them survival tips!)…. seems like an awesome camping read too!

Interesting concept to link survival tips back to the Hunger Game, well what ever gets people thinking about it I am good with.

I have not read the trilogy at all, however my teenager has and had several questions that were not explained in the book. I think the tie in with the trilogy will help get a lot more younger people interested in the prepping lifestyle.

As a child, we spent many weekends in the wilderness with our parents. 50 years since then have passed, & my interest in wilderness survival has picked up. This will be my first survival book.

Because people entered the contest on this page and on the book review, I took the # of entries here (16) plus the entries on the other page (17) for a total of 33.

Using the Random # Generator, #’s 15 and 18 were chosen. So Bryan C. and Doug S. are the winners! Congratulations!!!!

Good luck on the next give-away!
