July 2014 – The Herbal Survivalist
The July 2014 Prepper Website Featured Website of the Month is The Herbal Survivalist. Nick really does have a heart that wants to teach others about herbal medicine and help them to be prepared. I have seen Nick’s website evolve over the last year where he shares recipes and how-to videos. Nick has also recently started selling herbal survival kits with tinctures and essential oils. I have 3 and they are one of the best deals online. I know that Nick takes special care in every kit he puts together. I’m very glad to share the Herbal Survivalist as the Featured Website of the Month.
Summarize the focus and purpose of your website. – The sole purpose of the Herbal Survivalist Spot is to help others survive during any man made or natural event disaster, naturally and realistically. It is also important to teach others how to teach herbal medicine. We should do this by our own free will, working as a team. In addition to this, the Herbal Survivalist is about becoming totally independent of government and United Nations interactions; in regards to health, but also certain information(s), excluding the media, so they can plan from.
There is a saying “No Pain, No Gain.” This is true particularly when using my website. Individuals may be subjected to change their existing habits. So there are challenges throughout my site, to encourage the individual to truly change and learn. Again, this purpose is to encourage others to potentially save lives as well as their own.
An individual can make a purchase for a prepping reason, but what happens when the prep runs out? Can they resupply themselves with that prep indefinitely or as needed or do they continuously make excuses to rely on other resources? This is why education is so vital to the prepper. We should learn to become aware to take action(s) all in a realistic fashion and for both short and long term durations.
It is vital to get your hands dirty in the learning process while always remaining simple and truthful to yourself. But an important factor in my website is this, ALL THE EXCUSES HAVE TO GO! You just need to buckle down and do it and in an organized fashion. Teamwork is another vital component in any preppers matrix, so the loop of independent resources become infinite and distributive and not in a hoarding fashion. Caring for those who cannot care for themselves like the elderly, disabled and the sick etc. These are all VITAL to any preppers success to survive. However we give a whole new spectrum on our site. It is natural and allows one to become TOTALLY independent from ALL needed resources. yes, even currency.
What made you decide to start a website? – The decision to build a website was to reach a broader spectrum of individuals and put the tools (education) at their disposal for free. We also like to cross network and integrate the resources we offer for preppers with there own seamlessly. i.e. my military and specialized training allows me to offer solutions that have already been through the trial and error phases in many ways. So I can give true signals to those who want to truly and unconditionally prep. Because of a level of tactical training I have been through, we put together an article on Control Points and what to expect when you hit one, especially during certain TYPES of events. Also, all my training, 40 plus years combined, we bring Natural Solutions to the table of a prepper and or community.
How long have you run your website? – I have only been on the net with this site for one year. But every day is a challenge to me. The demand for more information has become an asset not only to me, but to all my readers. Now there is not only one voice speaking, but many thousands. This is what I meant when I said team work earlier. Now everyone has a base foundation, but in multiple flavors (sort of like not putting all your eggs in one basket). Now with this strategy in place, even if the enemy strikes, contingents are already in place strategically and symmetrically speaking.
How much time do you spend dedicated to your website? – I dedicate daily time to my site, including time when I enhanse my existing skills with more primitive and or traditional skill sets. Thus researching reputable, natural medical and nutritional resources for many hours a day and getting my hands dirty is part of my work.
What is one thing you really like about your website? – The one thing I like the most about our site is that it is fun easy and realistic.
What is one thing that you want to change about your website? – I would like to expand it very soon so others can learn more easily together in a team fashion. I want to continue to target natural and nutritional solutions for survival for both short and long term while always remaining realistic.
Tell us something about yourself that no one else knows. – I have 30 years of experience in tactical operations and specialized in rapid intervention tactics. For 10 of those years, I cross trained with DOHS and FEMA. I also have 3 years with a M.E.R.T. and 2 year working as a volunteer medic.
Other than your site, what is your favorite non-preparedness websites to visit? – I truly enjoy the prepper website , because of its abundance and variety of prepper resources as well as Survival Sherpa and Graywolf Survival, simply because they keep a realistic approach to prepping.
Do you have anything (projects, special posts, redesign) in store for the future of your website? – I am currently working on a more powerful site that I just started..
What were the three books you last read? (Be honest) – The Green Pharmacy by Dr. James Duke. The School of Natural Healing by Dr. John Christopher. as well as reading the Old Testament in my Douay Rheims Roman Catholic Bible. I also like to read the books of Exodus, Leviticus and Genesis.
What would you like to say to readers at the Prepper Website? – Please remember these words: Food, Water, Medicine, Personal Hygiene Products, and to Love thy neighbor as thy self “UNCONDITIONALLY.”
