Keep Fish Fresh For Two Days – Without A Refrigerator

How to Keep Fresh Fish.

I remember back in my youth, my grandfather used to do this. Give it a try, if you have an iron-gut.

1) Catch the fish and remove the gills, then insert a piece of charcoal in their mouth.
2) Remove the fins and scale. (You don’t have to scale now, but it is easier.)
3) Then add two or three pieces charcoal in their bellies.
4) If you have them out (not refrigerated) for several days, wrap each fish separately in paper and place them in a box. Fish preserved like this will keep fresh for several days.
